Born and raised in Belton, Texas, to a large Mexican American family, Louie has fond memories of childhood. Every occasion was a reason to cook and celebrate. The Army took Louie around the country and the world. Like many Killeen residents, Louie found opportunities in Killeen that made this community the perfect place to establish roots. Louie is honored to be the first   Latino on the Commissioners Court and the first openly- gay elected official in the county. Louie looks forward to serving Bell County as Bell County                    Commissioner Precinct 4.                                                                                                                 

Professional

Graduating from Belton High School in 1997, Louie worked at Wilsonart              International for three years. Louie then attended college and obtained a peace  officer license. Louie worked for the City of Troy and the Bell County                   Constable Office. In 2006, Louie commissioned as an infantry officer in the      United States Army. In 2008, He deployed of Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In 2010, Louie served as executive officer for B Company at the            Warrior Transition Battalion in Fort Lewis. Concluding his Army career, Louie accepted a position in Washington D.C. with the United States Department of Homeland Security at the National Operation Center (NOC) as Incident              Management Officer. Two years later, Louie felt home and politics calling and quite his job. Louie started a general contracting/ real estate company that he operates with his daughter.                                                                                                             

Education

Louie obtained a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in           Continuity of Government (COG) from Norwich University in 2013, Bachelor of Science with a criminal justice major from Tarleton State University in 2006, Associates of Applied Science with a criminal justice major and Peace Officer Certificate from Temple College in 2003. In 2016, Louie obtained his Certificate in Real Estate Licensing from Austin Community College.                    

Family

Louie is a proud father to Alexandra and soon to be husband Jacob, and                grandfather to Teddy. Having a home where your family and mine can thrive is my mission.
